I just got back from a two-week bicycle trip in Spain. Being half of the Style Matters team, I couldn’t help but notice what women were wearing.  Believe me, Penelope Cruz is  the rule, rather than the exception, when it comes to good-looking, fshionable Spanish women.  They are beautiful  whether it be in small mountain towns or urban centers.   Trends I spotted:

  • Red sandals with every outfit whether it be a dress, skirt or slacks, stylish Spanish women accessorized with bright red footware.
  • Cargo capris were seen on men and women of all ages and body types.  Cargos are the Spanish summer uniform.
  • Leggings adorned the legs of women of all ages, from girls to women of a “certain age.”  The trend is in the states, but many women are afraid they are too old to wear them. Spanish women apparently don’t feel the same way.  The key to looking good in leggings is the topper. So, ladies, pick up a pair of leggings and wear them under short dresses and tunics.  It’s a fashion forward look.
  • Crocs:  Yep, this Colorado creation was seen on all types of Spanish feet is a variety of bright colors.  Personally, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a pair of Crocs, but far be it from me to criticize the Spanish.  They love their Crocs.
