Payless shoes- your source for shoes this season
September 9th, 2009Payless Shoe stores have jumped on the designer bandwagon… hiring high-end designers to create affordable lines. This trend couldn’t have happened at a better time for all us shoppers on a budget. We checked out the Payless website (www.payless.com) and here’s what we learned.
-
The best shoes are available on line, not at local Payless stores.
-
Shipping is free if you have the shoes delivered to a store.
-
Delivery to home or office is a flat rate of $5.95 for any size package.
Frankly, $5.95 is a deal considering all the affordably priced stylish shoes that are now waiting for your tootsies on the website. Style Matters (www.stylematters.us) has picked out some of our favorites:
Christian Siriano was the talented winner of “Project Runway” two seasons ago. He is now designing shoes for Payless and from what we see, his talent and taste have only grown stronger. These “Strut Pumps” are only $34.99 and are perfect for the office.
These adorable “Sasha” ruffle boots are by alice + olivia. They come in charcoal and purple suede. Note the cool tapered shape of the heel. These booties have great detailing and are a steal for $34.99. Booties are one of the big trends this season. Don’t miss out.
These gorgeous “shooties” (combo of shoes and booties) come from the creative mind of designer Lela Rose. She selected the hot color of the season — purple– for her shoes and priced them at a cheap $34.99
These hot shooties are by alice + olivia who have named them the Robertson Jewel Boot ($49.99). This look is so fashion forward. We are running out right now to snag us a pair.
Finally, for those who want some comfy but current shoes, check out these American Eagle Brice flats for only $19.99. They combine two of the hottest trends this season — plaid and red.

I was in Payless last Friday, for the first time in awhile, and found a great pair of nude suede wedge peep toe pumps. They have some really nice detailing, including a little ruching/pleating in the front, towards the toe, and a little “wave” in the wedge heel (there’s probably a more technical term to describe that effect, but I’m not sure what it is). Only $23 and they are my new favorite shoes for the fall!
