Here is Style Matters final fashion forecast for 2010.
11 Mixing costume with real jewelry. All the top socialites and fashionistas are going in for this: real pearls with glass beads, oversized plastic rings next to real diamond wedding bands; several bangles and cuffs of high and low priced metals and materials — It’s all good and it all goes together.
12 Layering. Sweaters over dresses; long tops under cropped jackets, vests over sweaters over tee shirts; boyfriend jackets over everything. Layering is the look.
13 Ugg and Ugg style boots. These comfy shearling-lined boots of all lengths and colors are now worn winter and summer. It’s taken us a while to get used to the sloppy, unstructured footware, but we are real fans now. A popular all season look: long sweater skinny jeans and Uggs.
14 Puffy down jackets. We are seeing more of this style of winter outerware and less fur. Fur coats and jackets seemed to have disappeared. Thanks alot, PETA!
15 Plaid. We have just begun to see the explosion of plaid in our wardrobes. Stock up on whatever plaid clothing you like. You will be geting lots of wear out of it. You can thank the Twilight series films for this trend.
