My friend forwarded me a link to your blog…to show me the thigh high boots you were displaying. Where can I find a good pair of thigh highs that don’t have a really high heel? I want a pair (black or brown) with a 3 inch heel, more or less (not 4inch plus like they always come–I don’t want to look like a stripper, but I do want to wear sexy thigh highs! :)  I wear a size 10, and am 5′11 tall.

   Jennifer, I too had the same problem. I love the look of a thigh high boot over a pair of skinny jeans. But a boot with high heels, frankly, made me look a bit slutty. At the end of last season I bought a pair of Michael Kors thigh high boots on sale on line at Zappos.com. See them at http://www.zappos.com/michael-michael-kors-bromley-flat-boot. They have a flat heel which gives a more casual look, which I wanted.

   My solution for you: First: Online shopping. My two favorite websites: Endless.com; Zappos.com. I checked today and there are literally hundreds of boots on both sites that meet your criteria.

   I don’t know where you live, but I have good luck shoe shopping at DSW, Macy’s, Dillards and Nordstrom.
